If you are a Windows or Linux user, you might feel a bit lost using a Mac keyboard for the first time. Me too. Mac OS X keyboard shortcuts are a little different from Windows or Linux. For example, in Mac OS X there is the 
(Command key) that others don’t have. I love using shortcut keys because they’re faster and make my work easier. The Mac keyboard layout is not much different from other general keyboards. But Mac has some of their own symbols.
Here is a list of keys that other operating systems don’t have or that have slightly different symbols: (Command key) – Sometimes called the “Apple key”; on Apple keyboards this key also has an Apple logo (

(Control key)
(Option key) – “Alt” may also appear on this key
(Shift key)
(Caps Lock) – Toggles Caps Lock on or off
fn (Function key)
But overall, the Mac keyboard is fun to use. It’s not so hard to learn. Besides the keyboard shortcuts, on Mac OS X, especially on a MacBook, there is a multi-touch trackpad. And it makes it easier to navigate your mouse pointer on the screen.
