Gmail is one of the Google products — free, advertising-supported webmail with POP3 and IMAP. I have been using Gmail for more than 2 years now, and I can say it is the best mail service ever made. It is fast, secure, and convenient to use. Gmail gives you 7 GB of free space and growing every second.
Beside the large space, Google also has some uniqueness. One single account can give you more than 100 thousand aliases. You may not believe me, but see the 3 tricks below:
- A single Gmail address, for example: [email protected], also has the second email address: [email protected]. As you can see, gmail and googlemail will have the same inbox, which counts as 2 possible aliases.
- Adding a dot (“.”) will make your email address different but still have the same inbox. For example: [email protected], [email protected], [email protected], [email protected], [email protected] will all be aliases of [email protected]. How many possibilities are there? Count for yourself! Use permutations, lol.
- Adding a plus sign (“+”) between the username and the @ sign. For example: [email protected], [email protected], [email protected], [email protected] will all be aliases of [email protected] as well. How many possibilities are there? Once again, count for yourself!
So one single Gmail account can have more than one thousand aliases, which enables you to open hundreds of Facebook and Twitter accounts with 1 single mail address and thousands of aliases.
