Setup Account Package And Create Account In WHM

After you set up your domain as a nameserver, the next step is to create a package and then create an account. So you can host your website on your VPS. WHM has a built-in function to manage your VPS as shared hosting, and you can sell your service with multiple package options. Every account will have its own interface — called cPanel — to manage their own files, database, email, and more.

Create WHM Account Package

  1. Log in to your WHM control panel at http://yourdomain/whm and provide the root username and password.
  2. After you are logged in, go to Package > Add a Package.
  3. Fill in: Package name: Your package name. Quota (MB): Maximum disk size for one account. Give unlimited for unlimited size. Bandwidth (MB): Maximum bandwidth for one account. Give unlimited for unlimited size. Max FTP Accounts: Maximum FTP accounts for one account. Give unlimited for unlimited size. Max Email Accounts: Maximum email accounts for one account. Give unlimited for unlimited size. Max Email Lists: Maximum email lists (forwarding email) for one account. Give unlimited for unlimited size. Max Databases: Maximum databases for one account. Select Options: You can give shell access, FrontPage extension, and CGI access for the account. cPanel Theme: cPanel theme for the account. Feature List: Enable or disable cPanel features. Locale: Default language.
  4. Press Add.
  5. If you want to create more than one package, repeat steps 2-4.

Create cPanel Account in WHM

  1. Go to Account Functions > Create New Account.
  2. Fill in: Domain Information Domain: the main domain for the account. Username: account username. Password: account password. Email: account contact email address. Package Choose a Package: Choose the package you want for this account. Reseller Settings: You can make the account a Reseller, so they can have more access to make their own packages and deals. Leave all the rest as default.
  3. Press the Create button. This will take a while.

After you create an account, you need to point the nameserver of the associated domain to the account. Go to your domain registrar and change the domain nameserver to point to your nameserver, usually:

ns1.serverdomain.com
ns2.serverdomain.com

This will take a maximum of 48 hours to propagate to all Internet DNS servers. While it is propagating you can configure your account — installation, creating databases, email accounts, and so on.
