Facebook for Android has been upgraded to version 1.5. This new version has 2 very important features: first, a chat feature which also has a background mode, so you can receive messages while using other apps, almost like Facebook for BlackBerry and iPhone; and push notifications, which are only supported for devices running Android 2.2 or greater. This release can be regarded as completely on par with the iPhone or BlackBerry version.
