It is clear that Windows 7 is the newest release from the giant software maker Microsoft. This operating system for computers is designed for personal computers like desktops, laptops, netbooks, tablet PCs, and media center PCs. The great thing about this operating system is its multi-touch support; there are also other improvements including a redesigned Windows shell with a new taskbar, and a home networking system called HomeGroup.
After the first release, this OS has been getting through several improvements, and the proofs are presented by the arrival of some new features like touch enhancement and handwriting recognition, enhanced performance on multi-core processors, virtual hard disk support, DirectAccess, and kernel improvement.
Moreover, Windows Media Center is also upgraded into a new version with many gadget additions. In fact, many new items are being included in Control Panel. The previous name of Windows Security Center has been changed to Windows Action Center, which provides security and computer maintenance. Another significant addition is the RAW image format support and some vital abilities.
Speaking of the layout, you will find that the taskbar of this OS has gotten a tremendous change — the Quick Launch Toolbar has been replaced with pinning applications to the taskbar. Besides Aero Peek, there is another new feature called Aero Snap. This will automatically maximize a particular window when it is dragged to the top of the screen.
Additionally, while more features have been added to this OS, a number of features have also been removed. The removed features include the Start Menu, some taskbar features, Windows Media Player features, Windows Explorer features, Windows Ultimate Extras, and InkBall.
