BumpTop LogoBumpTop is an amazing software for make your Desktop 3D with multi touch supported. BumpTop run on both Windows and Mac. On April 30th 2010, BumpTop acquired by Google. This is the official announcement from the BumpTop site:
“Today, we have a big announcement to make: we’re going to be taking BumpTop in an exciting new direction, which means that BumpTop (for both Windows and Mac) will no longer be available for sale. Additionally, no updates to the products are planned.”

BumpTop based at Toronto, Canada and founded on February 24,2007 and was aquired by google on April 30,2010. As it says on their official announcement, there will be no longer available sale and no updates are planned, but you can still download the latest release here.

Rumor says that this Google acquisition is to make Android and Chrome OS user interface over the Apple UI. With BumpTop will it be a 3D desktop on Google Android? In my opinion that’s will be much probable. With this 3D desktop on Android will make Google Android as the first Smartphone OS that use 3D desktop.

What will Apple and Microsoft response on this? Let’s see then…
