Facebook Open Graph Meta For WordPress

Facebook open graph meta tags allow us to integrate our web pages into Facebook social graphs. To do so we need to add Facebook open graph meta tags such as og:title, og:image, og:url, etc. Those tahs allow us to specify out information to be read by Facebook system. This will of course will give us more opportunities to socialize our articles or websites to Facebook. As you know now Facebook has more than 700 millions users all around the world.

Actually it is easy to add this Facebook open graph meta tags to our pages. But it need a little bit programming skill. So i create a simple plugin to do this. And fortunately you can download it for free from WordPress plugins repository, it is called Facebook Open Graph Meta For WordPress plugin.

    This is great. Any guidance on how to modify this so that Facebook draws an excerpt from the written content? The plug-in doesn't go to content but takes author name, categories, and date. Thoughts?

    • Facebook will get the best content they can find to show as excerpt. i will release the update for the next 2 days to fix this by include og:description in meta tags and autmatically get your post excerpt.

    I installed this plugin. It worked great, thanks! However I decided to do it manually but after I uninstalled it the og tags doesn’t disappeared. How do I get rid of these?
